Dragon East vs Dragon West: Which Should You Buy?

Short answer: Dragon (East) is the agile, combo-focused serpent built for PvP and bounty hunting. Dragon (West) is the heavy winged form built for grinding, raids and Sea bosses. Neither is strictly stronger — they are two different playstyles that happen to share a name. If you mostly fight players, take East. If you mostly fight NPCs, take West.

The second decision matters just as much and gets far less attention: whether you buy the permanent version or the physical fruit. That choice changes what you actually keep, and it is covered further down.

    Dragon (East): the agile serpent

The Eastern form is the coiling, serpentine dragon. It is the more mobile of the two, with fast aerial movement and quick strikes that chain into combos. That makes it the preferred pick for players who spend their time hunting bounties, where the fight is usually against another player who is actively trying to escape.

East rewards a high-tempo style. If you like staying airborne, closing distance on runners and stringing hits together, this is the form that fits. It asks more of you mechanically than West does, and gives more back when you play it well.

    Dragon (West): the winged powerhouse

The Western form is the classic massive winged dragon. It trades finesse for reach and pressure: sweeping attacks that cover ground, full flight, and the bulk to hold position while you deal damage.

This is the grinder's Dragon. When you are clearing crowds of NPCs, working through raids or fighting Sea bosses, wide attacks that hit many targets beat precise attacks that hit one. West is also the more forgiving of the two to learn, because it does not depend on landing tight combos.

Permanent vs physical Dragon: the part nobody explains

This trips up more buyers than the East/West question does, and it is the one that determines what you keep.

    • Physical Dragon is the fruit itself, delivered into your inventory. You can hold it, eat it, or keep it as an item.
    • Permanent Dragon attaches the Dragon power to your account. You keep it after eating other fruits, so you can swap loadouts freely without losing the Dragon.

Permanent costs more than physical, and that gap is the whole point: you are paying for the ability to experiment with other fruits without giving up your Dragon. Players who like switching loadouts, or who expect to keep playing for months, usually find permanent the better value. Players who want to try Dragon before committing are better served by the physical fruit.

Prices move, so treat the Blox Fruits store page as the accurate source rather than this article. We deliberately do not print prices here, because a number in a blog post goes stale the moment the store changes.

    So which should you buy?

Work through it in this order:

    1. What do you spend most of your time doing? Fighting players points to East. Fighting NPCs points to West.
    2. Do you want to keep it through fruit swaps? If yes, buy permanent. If you want to try it first, buy physical.
    3. Do you already have a strong grinding fruit? If you do, East fills the gap you actually have. If you do not, West is the more useful first Dragon.

Plenty of players eventually want both, and that is a reasonable end state rather than a mistake. But the order above gets you the one that improves your next session.

    What we see in deliveries

We deliver Dragon in both forms daily, and the pattern is consistent. Permanent Dragon is our single most requested Blox Fruits item. Buyers who message before ordering almost always ask the permanent-versus-physical question rather than the East-versus-West one, which is the opposite of what most guides prepare them for. East and West split fairly evenly between buyers.

    Buying safely

Whichever you choose, the delivery method matters more than the price. A legitimate seller needs only your public Roblox username and hands the item over through an in-game trade while you stay logged into your own account.

Any seller asking for your password, your 2-Step Verification code, your backup codes or your browser cookie is asking for account access, not delivery. Roblox's own guidance is explicit that none of these should be shared with anyone, and that Roblox staff will never ask for them. For the longer version, see how safe Roblox item delivery actually works.

You can grind for Dragon or skip the wait: Dragon (East), Dragon (West), or the Permanent Dragon — delivered by in-game trade, username only, no password.
