Murder Mystery 2 Beginner's Guide

Murder Mystery 2 (MM2) is one of Roblox's longest-running social deduction games. If you're just starting out, here's everything you need to know — including how the item economy works.

The three roles

• Innocent — survive and help identify the Murderer.
• Sheriff — the only one with a gun; take out the Murderer.
• Murderer — eliminate everyone without getting caught.

Coins, boxes and knives

You earn coins by playing, then spend them on boxes that can drop knives and guns of different rarities — from common all the way up to godly and chroma. Rare drops are the ones players trade and collect.

How trading and values work

Every item has a community value (see our MM2 Value Checker). Trades are judged by comparing values — a "win," "fair" or "loss." Understanding values is the key to not getting scammed on a trade.

Getting the items you want
